The latest violent crime statistics are out and below is the list of the most dangerous cities to live in. The results are limited to cities with a population of over 25,000. The data ultimately comes from the FBI but was compiled by Neighborhoodscout.com.

Please note that this data does not include property crime numbers. Included in violent crime are murder, rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. The numbers are dependent upon local and state police departments reporting the data to the FBI and not all of them do so in exactly the same fashion. Some may not report data at all, so please take this list with a grain of salt.
